We rely on donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Can I make a donation in honor of someone else?
Yes, we accept donations in honor of loved ones, and we can provide acknowledgement cards to notify them of your gift.

Through accepting pencil donations, donating to kids in need, and recycling pencils, we are making a positive impact on the environment by saving trees and supporting education.
How does your organization ensure that donations are used effectively?
We have a rigorous process in place to ensure that cash and pencil donations are used effectively, and we regularly report on our progress to donors.
How do you recycle pencils?
We use TerraCycle. Once we’ve collected enough pencils, we ship them to TerraCycle using their Zero Waste Boxes™. The costs associated are not with the physical box itself, but rather the service provided. As this service is completely independent of their free recycling programs, there are no brand partners who sponsor the service. The cost includes the shipping to us and back to them as well as the recycling process of the pencils. TerraCycle is a private, for-profit company.
